Donna Jacobs, LSWAIC

Hi, I’m Donna, MSW Therapist and Wholistic Life Coach. I’m elated to serve you during your most vital transitions and help you succeed on the path that best suits your ability to live optimally. Life can be a challenge, I know. I am also aware that with every obstacle comes solutions that are viable for maintaining better outcomes. Particularly, there are times when we have to identify and examine uncomfortable behavioral patterns and dynamics that impede on our ability to function at our best.

Confronting these limitations can often times feel like shame and guilt, and disassemble our ability to possess compassion for our process, which in turn prevents us from resolving difficult issues. As your therapist, I am here to help you embrace the need for compassion and other attributes that will orchestrate growth and development. Are you currently in search of a more fulfilling experience in your daily living? Are you hoping to gain applicable skills to navigate relationships that are very important to you? Are you wanting to actively pursue different ways of managing your anger and frustration? Then know that therapy is a great place to start and excel. It is also important to acknowledge your starting role in outlining your goals, overcoming challenging situations, and moving forward in the pursuit of progress.

About me

I can truly say that life hasn’t been entirely peachy-keen for me, but it has offered detailed introspection that granted me the opportunity to heal, grow, and explore. The debilitating force of fear prohibited me from doing the internal work during the early stages of my life but as I evolved I realized that confronting my fears was the only way to find the peace that the external world could not offer. I also acknowledge the strength that was rewarded from examining my perceived limitations and taking full responsibility for my life. My international quests to Bali and India to further my career as a registered yoga teacher granted me the tools to better label the internal chaos that was wreaking havoc over my life. These tools also helped me to disassociate with behavioral patterns that were not mine, to begin with, but internalized habits perpetuated by biological circumstances, social interactions, and my environment. Gaining this awareness assisted me in stabilizing my reality and helped me determine how I wanted to thrive in my daily experience.
