Jennifer Hornbeck, MSW, LSWAIC

I specialize in trauma-informed care, LGBTQIA+ mental health support, and gender-affirming therapy. My clinical experience includes working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, relationship issues, and stress management. In addition to my work as a therapist, I have served as a social worker supporting children in foster care, their families, and both youth and adults within community mental health settings.

I hold a Master of Social Work degree from Seattle University, where I focused on social justice and advocacy. My work is rooted in the belief that healing is a personal and powerful journey. Drawing from the person-in-environment perspective, I consider how social, cultural, and environmental factors shape mental health and overall well-being. This approach allows me to meet clients with empathy, wherever they are in life.

As both a therapist and a social worker, I’m dedicated to building an anti-oppressive and inclusive practice. I center the values of empowerment, self-determination, and intersectionality in my work. I also remain mindful of how systems of privilege and implicit bias can influence the therapeutic space, and I strive to create a safe, affirming environment for all clients.
