Machelle Miller, LMHCA

Hi, I am Machelle Miller. I understand the importance of finding a counselor with whom you connect. When you reach out for help, you might be feeling overwhelmed and vulnerable. My approach to the therapeutic relationship is to collaborate with my clients in ways that support their values and goals while honoring who they are and their experiences. While we are all doing the best we can with the skills and experiences we have, sometimes we need some extra support navigating life and relationships, learning new skills, or having a safe space in which to process experiences, explore who we are, gain insights, or rebuild our sense of self and meaning.

Counseling can be useful when navigating a life transition, feeling overwhelmed, having trouble in your relationships, or feeling disconnected. Counseling can also help when you are trying to get a better sense of yourself. Therapy provides a safe place to explore, learn, gain insights into yourself and your relationships, and practice new skills.

About me

I truly love my work as a counselor and feel honored to be a part of the lives of the individuals, couples, and families with whom I work. I have been through counseling myself at various times in my life and know that it can be a challenging process that asks us to open up in ways we may not be used to and invites us to be vulnerable. Collaboration and a sense of safety are always at the forefront of my work with clients. Therapy can be hard work, and I know how vital it is to have someone to offer guidance, support, and acceptance.
