Marketa Kopecka, LSWAIC

There is no person who hasn’t experienced pain. We all have and we all will. Whatever you are feeling, it’s OK. I will help you through it. In therapy you can just be yourself—there are no good or bad feelings, and there is no judgment.

You don’t have to work through your problems alone. There’s help. Change and starting new things can be scary for all of us, but sometimes when we do scary things, with a little help, we can grow.

My goal for you is to feel empowered, confident, and comfortable in your own skin. You will learn more about yourself and your capability to take on the world. You will become your biggest fan, right beside me.

About me

I have loved learning about human behavior for as long as I remember. I have always been fascinated by psychology, neurology, sociology, and other social sciences. I believe some of that curiosity came from wanting to understand other people and also myself.

Learning about mental health has had a huge impact on my life. I have been able to grow as a person, improve my relationships, and be honest with myself. It’s not always easy to be honest with ourselves. Our brains are really good at keeping us static (not moving forward) and in denial. I have learned that the honest way is still the best way in the end, even if it means I have to see the ugly parts of myself.
