Mary Vargas, LSWAIC

Hi, I’m Mary Vargas, and I’m truly looking forward to the opportunity to work with you. If you’ve been searching for the right place to begin or continue your counseling journey, you’ve landed in a supportive space. It would be my honor to walk alongside you as we uncover what may be standing between you and your personal goals. I strive to offer a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where meaningful growth and healing can happen.

I’ve faced my own share of life’s challenges, which is why I know how important it is to find a therapist who feels like the right fit. The process of change often begins with that very first connection.

About me

With over 15 years of experience, I’ve supported individuals and families through a variety of emotional and life transitions. My background includes providing trauma-informed care, grief and loss counseling, support for medical crises (especially within oncology settings), and family-based interventions. I use a strengths-based, person-centered approach and draw from humanistic principles to help clients feel seen, heard, and supported. I work fluently in both English and Spanish, serving diverse communities with culturally sensitive care. As someone who experienced childhood trauma, I understand the lasting impact it can have—and I bring deep empathy and insight to the healing process.

I also know how busy life can get. That’s why I offer Telehealth sessions, making it easier to access care in a way that fits your lifestyle. Feel free to reach out with any questions—I’m here to help you get started.
