Pat Vulk, LMHCA

Hi!  My name is Pat Vulk.  I know that finding a counselor can be difficult, so I want to give you a sense of who I am and how I approach therapy. This way, you can find out if we are a good fit. You can always call me too if you would like to know more.

First of all, counseling is about you. I will do my best to create a safe, supportive, and caring space for us to work together to build the life you want. The primary focus of my therapy practice is teaching unconditional self-love, self-acceptance, and seeking joy in our lives.

About Me

I was married for 20 years and have two children that are 26 and 27 years old. Consequently, as a father and former husband, I have a lot to offer in the realm of parenting, and working on improving family relationships. That said, the vast majority of my work has been associated with individual emotional healing and growth. Of particular interest to me is the exploration of Art Therapy.

I worked in the corporate world for almost 30 years at many large companies and start-ups.  Thus, I have personally experienced ‘corporate trauma’ and narcissistic abuse and can provide nurturing support in recovery from, as well as setting appropriate boundaries in, the often toxic corporate world where one is often objectified and de-valued as a human being.

I became a therapist because of how much my own therapy changed my life for the better.  There is truly a night and day difference in my life now compared to before I began my own therapeutic journey.  I believe that investing time and energy in our emotional development and healing has huge benefits in every aspect of our lives.  Not only can we become joyful, but also, scientific data is clearly indicating more and more that improved mental health has very significant impacts that correlate directly to our physical health and longevity.

My own history includes depression, anxiety, trauma, and addictive behaviors.  If you are willing to put in the work, I can help you transform your life in the same way that I have mine.
