Rasheonia Lemon, LMHCA

Hello, I’m Rasheonia Lemon, and I’m honored to walk alongside you during this meaningful time in your life. I view therapy as a collaborative process—you’re the expert on your own experiences, and I bring tools and techniques to help guide the journey. My therapeutic style draws from multiple evidence-based frameworks, with a strong foundation in behavioral theory. I believe our habits shape who we are, but I also believe we all have the capacity to develop new skills that lead to transformation. I integrate elements of Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused strategies, Adlerian concepts, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This well-rounded approach allows me to support each client as a whole person—considering thoughts, actions, and surroundings as we work toward meaningful change. We’re partners in this process, and together we move forward.

Professional experience

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Woman’s University, where I contributed to research on personality traits and deceptive behaviors in the published study “Personality Traits Associated with Various Forms of Lying” (PSYI-D-19-00108R1). I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas at Dallas. My experience includes leading therapeutic groups for adolescents, providing play therapy to young children, and completing my clinical internship at Denton County Friends of the Family, where I worked with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence using Cognitive Processing Therapy. Each of these experiences has shaped my understanding of how to support clients in healing and growth.
