Robyn Cassel, Ph.D, Psychologist

Robyn Cassel, Ph.D., is a Licensed Psychologist who began her career specializing in dynamic play and dyadic therapy with children and families. Over the years, she has expanded her expertise, completing extensive training in trauma-focused therapy. For the past five years, Dr. Cassel has collaborated closely with Rachel Needle, Psy.D., providing group and individual psychotherapy to adolescents, young adults, and couples. Under Dr. Needle’s guidance, Robyn has worked with individuals and couples facing a variety of relationship and sexual concerns. Her practice encompasses a wide range of issues, including behavioral challenges, social skills difficulties, attentional struggles, anxiety and mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, trauma and abuse-related issues, and relationship dynamics.

In addition to these areas, Robyn has received specialized training in family functioning, parent-child attachment, parenting challenges, divorce, adoption, and crisis intervention. Her clinical journey began at Nova Southeastern University, where she trained at Dr. Ralph E. Cash’s psychoeducational assessment clinic, with Dr. Cash being a former president of the National Association of School Psychology (NASP). Dr. Cassel’s passion for working with children and families deepened through her rotations at the Mailman Center for Child Development at the University of Miami, and she further honed her skills during a two-year pre-doctoral internship at the Andrus Children’s Center in Yonkers, New York, where she worked with children and families affected by trauma and abuse. Dr. Cassel currently practices at the Whole Health Psychology Center’s Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach locations. She is also in training to become a certified sex therapist and works with individuals and couples addressing sexual dysfunction, compulsivity, and relationship challenges.
